Now, back on topic…

Updated August (2014):

  • Added new Affiliate Networks and updated some recommendations and programs for 2014.
  • Adbrite is dead as of February 2013
  • Chitika went up to number 3
  • Adversal added to number 2 (best option)

What a nice phrase on an email to start the day huh? Well, consider you’re not alone. Everyday, hundreds or thousands of accounts are being banned from Google’s Adsense program. Why? I can’t tell you specifically. Either there’s something wrong with the web you’re putting you ads on, or you just simply missed one rule from Google’s TOS.

Instead of crying or bashing Google in multiple forums (actually, this is a very bad idea), remember the world is not over yet, and there are plenty of alternatives out there to try. Google was just your first one, and you failed.

So, stand up, be proactive and act professional! There’s no time to lose.

10 best Google Adsense Alternatives

Here are some of the best Google Adsense Alternatives you can try to monetize your website without using Google Adsense, and I’ll tell you how they work and why you should consider them, so let’s start:

10. Infolinks

Infolinks is a Pay per click advertisement network that allows you to make money through your blog based on specific keywords. Infolinks indexes your pages and automatically add some hiperlinks in your text. Of course, since this isn’t a CPM program, it might take you a while to start earning a regular passive income through it, but it’s still an alternative to Adsense. They can pay you via Paypal, Wire Transfer, Check Western Union, ACH and Payoneer and there’s an initial limit of $50. Infolinks is great for big websites and it works in English, Spanish, French and German websites. Start using Infolinks here.

9. Kontera

Kontera is a known network very similar to Infolinks. It’s also a text based network that adds links to your content based on specific keywords showing a doubled-underlined text and pop-up ads. This is also a pay-per-click program, so it depends on your CTR percentage to earn money. However, Kontera is definitely a better option if you have a small blog or you’re just starting your website, because it allows small sites to be added to your network. they can pay you via check or Paypal with the same $50 initial limit, and you can use it with Adsense at the same time.

8. Amazon Associates

Google Adsense Alternatives Amazon

You can make a good amount of money from Amazon, especially in Christmas and other holidays

Amazon is the biggest online store in the world, so they must be doing something good. Well, if you have a website that talks about any product that can be found on Amazon, then Amazon associates could work for you. Amazon allows you to put dynamic image ads to your blog, so that you can promote them and while this isn’t a Pay-per-click or CPM program, it will pay you a small commission for everything they sell from your links. So let’s say you have a blog about Apple products and you put an ad driving them to buy an iPod or just a cable. If they buy it, an small commission will be for you. So if you sell a $10 cable you might receive a few cents, but sell a $1500 Laptop and you might receive $100. The good thing is that everything they buy through your link (even if it isn’t the product you recommended at first) will generate a commission for your. the only con I find with Amazon, is that they need to send you a check that could take weeks to arrive to your home, unless you live in the United Stated of America where you can provide your Bank account. You can use this with Adsense at the same time.

7. BuySellAds

If you’re thinking on selling ad spaces from your website but you have no clients to land on BuySellAds might be the right network for you. buySellAds allows you to sell a space unit to many customers depending on the kind of traffic they want. so, if your blog has space for 4 ads, you can publish them here and wait until someone wants to buy your ad. While this can lead to a good income, this also means you need a good quantity of visitors and page views if you want to be appealing on BSA. BSA pays 75% of the revenue generated and you can get your payment via paypal twice a month, without any starting limit.

6. Text Link Ads

Text Link Ads allow you to sell text ads from your sites. The price of your ads varies between your Page Rank, Alexa Rank, traffic, Social media and everything. So, the higher PR you have, the more expensive links you can sell. TLA pays you via check, Paypal or TLA voucher and they offer 50/50 revenue with a minimum limit of $25. You can sell up to 10 contextual advertisements from your site on TLA.

5. Clicksor

Clicksor is ad advertising network that allows you to serve text, contextual and popup ads. With more than 150,000 pages working on Clicksor, it’s became quite a good alternative to Google Adsense. They share up to 60% of the revenue depending on the ad (popup ads usually generate more) and they can pay you via check or Paypal with a minimum of $50. Sign up in 2 minutes with Clicksor here.

4. Qadabra

Qadabra is a performance based advertisement network created for publishers to monetize their websites and traffic. I recently discovered Qadabra and their platform is simple and easy to use. Qadabra provides different ad sizes and they have a pop up option. They support international traffic with great fill rates and they pay via: paypal ($1 minimum payout), payoneer prepaid card ($20 minimum) and wire transfer ($500 minimum). So it’s a great option for starters if you’re using paypal. I got approved for Qadabra in less than 2 minutes. Register here.

3. Chitika

Google Adsense Alternatives Chitika

Chitika is the most similar ads network to Google Adsense

The reason I put Chitika on the number 3 of this list, is because Chitika is very similar to Adsense. they allow you to customize your ads, and it only serves contextual ads. One good thing is that you can use it along with Adsense and there are no problems at all. Chitika pays via Paypal ($10 USD minimum, which is good for starters) or via check ($50 minimum). If I were to recommend an ads service as an alternative to Adsense, Chitika would be my first choice, hands down. Chitika can pay you via paypal if you need. Sign up here and get your account approved fast and easily! Bonus: Check my Chitika earnings here.

2. Adversal

Adversal is a great alternative of Adsense and works as great as Chitika. They have good banners and the CTR and revenue adapts to get the best results for your website. I’ve seen the Ads on Adversal have a good CTR and they have good image ads too. This is probably the Ad network which seems to work better for those looking for a replacement of Google Adsense. It works decently with other languages too (Chitika doesn’t).  You account gets approved really fast and they also have Pop under /CPM ads as an option. Note: Adversal requires a website with a minimum of 50,000 page views per month, but they have proven to work really well. I earn over $500-1000 per month. They also pay via paypal. Sign up here. Bonus: Check my Adversal earnings here.

1. Affiliate Marketing

I’m leaving affiliate Marketing in the number 1 spot for many reasons. Affiliate Marketing means you’re selling a product or a service from another enterprise (which means you don’t have to develop it) and you earn a commission for that. You can find a lot of Affiliate Marketing programs on the net, and they can vary from selling a $10 small product up to selling a $300 software. The beauty of affiliate marketing is that the more you know and test a product or service, the more you can sell it.

Some affiliate programs can earn you more than $50 for each sale depending on the product and I truly recommend you test and backup your sales by using the product yourself (even though it’s not 100% necessary). If you are an authority in a niche, you can use it to boost your sales and grow even more. You can set affiliate links in banners, text, images and basically everywhere, and it can grow into a big passive income earner if done well. Some examples of people that have become very successful with affiliate Marketing are:

  • Pat Flynn from the Smart Passive Income blog
  • Luke Kling from Peerfly
  • And more people that earn 6 figure incomes per month, mostly via passive income or PPC campaigns.

The BEST WAY to get started at affiliate marketing is by joining a Forum and reading affiliate marketing blogs. I recently opened a new “Affiliate Marketing” category in this blog where I’ve posted some great case studies. However, I totally recommend you to get started at the Affiliate Fix Dojo!

The Dojo is a premium forum with more than 500 affiliates showing case studies and guides to earn money online with different traffic sources. There’s no better way to learn this other than reading case studies.

They have a 35% discount this moment, so make sure to check them out! You’ll also receive a lot of tools for banner and landing pages like the ones I use to promote CPA offers on Facebook and other traffic sources. Get your 35% discount (one time payment only) and join the Dojo HERE!

What can I learn from this?

Life can be rude sometimes. You Google Adsense account could have been banned because you didn’t catch a rule from the TOS, or maybe it was a mistake, however, you can’t always rely only on 1 solution. The secret word here is to “diversify”. Try to have as many income streams as you can by adding and testing different ad services, and you’ll find your way to the top. Those Google Adsense alternatives will help you develop as an Internet Marketeer even more.

Even if your Google Adsense account was banned, this is not the end of the world. In fact, it’s only the beginning ;)

I started a blog last year….it was slow and I could not publish much document…but I picked pace this year and added AdSense to my account. After approval and running for 2 weeks the they disapproved my account without any reason. I continued to blog and posted some new articles and again applied for AdSense through different account. Account approves, runs for another week…meanwhile I promoted my blog through my contact list and social networking sites such as Linkedin and Facebook (legitimate means I guess?). But again the disabled my account. I am disheartened but more than that I am wondering about the payment they have received form Ads and not paid to me…may be not more than 1$….but think of this being done with multiple users on multiple occasions…somebody is getting the money isn’t it….I would better try other alternatives….AdSense sucks……

    • says

Adsense can be very picky and sometimes they have no excuse for banning you. They are so BIG that they don’t care if you lose $1 or $50 or more. Honestly, there have been a lot of debates about Adsense not returning money to customers and advertisers when they ban accounts (that would be stealing). But who knows…

    Hi ,

Nice article Servando , do you have any idea which network performance best in which country ?
and is there any script which changes the best add network as per the visitor location ?

    • says

There are some good scripts to rotate banners according to the country, but I don’t have a list of which networks work better. Split testing could be the best way to discover it.

      • says

i in my career history if you make a blog on blogspot with good alexa rank they will not disable your account only they message you to error they have seen or if you are old costumer of google adsense account

Didn’t have much luck with Kontera, but i have been using pandacashback referral program, and it pays well. They pay 20% life time referral commission

    Thank you for sharing,

I gave up internet marketing after my adsense account being banned 4 years ago. Don’t know why, some how I feel it is good for me to ‘re-start’ internet marketing. Will try one of above and let see what will happen.

    Thanks again.

This is a great timing, just recently got banned on adsense without any violations, i practice a good and honest marketing. Currently my site is just new, and promoting it via facebook and i got banned by doing that.

Nice list by the way, my problem would be looking for an alternative that can cater with Philippines traffic :/

And i only found nuffnang so far, if you have recommendations feel free to email me with one that accepts philippine traffic

If there’s no other choice i should begin affiliate marketing very soon

    • says

Hey Paolo. Affiliate Marketing could be the best thing for you. It depends on your niche.

I don’t know of any great alternatives for PH. That’s why I mention the country of the traffic is very important. Have you tried Adversal?

      Regards.

      • says

Well i am not yet qualified for Adversal since my website is just about 2 weeks old. Although by promoting it on social networking sites such as fb, twitter and pin i am receiving around consistent 50 to 250 unique visitors a day.

According to Adversal they need 50k monthly visitors minimum since my site is just weeks old i don’t think they’ll approve me.

Well yes, you are totally right about how country traffic is important, especially my niche was the country itself :/ guess need to focus on content for now than to monetize it this early stage.

        Regards,
        Pao

  9. Amrish says

I have been using Media.net for long time. It is not as good as Google Adsense. But It pays enough. I do not have a lot of page views. but I am earning good. I also tried infolinks before. But it pay less than media.net for click.

  10. says

I think Infolinks is a great alternative. You will make big bugs from infolinks if you have a lot of traffic coming from Canada, United States, UK and Germany.

  11. says

Infolinks converts very well, and I do like their advance technology which converts the keyword or search phrases into the ads and most important those doesn’t require even a single space in sake of showing ads.

Really impressed, Servando Silva, by the points and the Google Adsense Alternatives you’ve laid above in this article. Hoping for more from your side.

    Hi

I have had a very good read through here and there is some fantastic information.
I personally use Infolinks and Qadabra them seem to be doing a pretty good job although i have found sometimes Qadabra sometimes an annoying popup comes up on your screen about flash player has stopped working and your screen freezes for at least 15 seconds maybe just me i don’t know but all the same they seem pretty good so far.

    Nice work keep it up

    Thanks
    Mark

I’m using adtomatik for the last two months ago and got very good results, higher fill rates and best ecpm than others ad networks.

  14. says

thanks for this article, i use chitika and infolinks but until reading your article i had no idea why chitika showed such sorry ads on my site, as i dont get many page views yet maybe 40-70 a day, so thank you and your responders :-)

  15. says

    Dear Servando,

Very informative article. I personally use infolinks on my website.
But as you suggested, its better to have options and test them out.

I have no enough traffic on my blogs. I’m working on this previous three months and I have only 5000 viewer per months so please tell me how can I increase my viewers.

    • says

Hello Ankit, have a look at my facebook experiments (there’s a link on the sidebar to the article) and if you haven’t, I have an SEO guide to increase traffic for my subscribers :)

  17. says

I like to add, that chitika wont show good ads until you are gold level, i think thats more than 5000 hits per day, if you are below that, it will show meaningless text ads, you can, however, get money from those ads.

  18. says

Thanks for sharing these list. But, some of the listed alternatives doesn’t work well in some countries.
People should also try media.net and addynamo.com

  19. says

    Greetings Servando,

Thank you so much for your info and efforts. Just a query- I recently applied for adsense after more than 6 months of blog existence hence following the dictum blog now, monetize later. Im currently on hold. But the issue is I run a politics ,culture and history related blogs where I share long essays on the same. And my site just crossed 1500 views last month and may come close to 2000 this month. Much of the traffic is from India, with U.S , UAE and Germany a close second but some months on top.The remaining is Japan ,Scandinavia and UK

What would be the ideal for my site? I anticipate relatively few tech articles as you said adsense is optimal for those types of sites.

    Thanks again

    Regards

  23. says

    Hello!
I use chitika ads on my current website see: http://www.mobilepricepakistan.net/ .
But i earn just 0.5 cent per day, even i receive 2000+ impression and 10 to 15 valid clicks. And I feel chitika bot not working very well, because my web receive web traffic more than 1000 but I receive jsut 10 clicks on my ads, how its possible, I also used Google Adsense in past, and make $200+ per month.

  24. Gabriel Torres says

You forgot to mention several different services that pay much higher eCPM rates than AdSense: SwitchAds, YieldSelect, Tribal Fusion, and Caspion. These pay much more than the ones you mentioned. I tried Chitika and got an eCPM of only US$ 0.01, which is lame. I really don’t know why you put this piece of shit in such high position.

    • says

It depends on the traffic you have. is it organic traffic or referred traffic from other sources?

I have used Taboola, Rubicon project and Tribal Fusion before, but because most of them are CPM based (not CPC), I didn’t include them here as you need thousands of monthly visitors to be approved. SO, not for starters.
And Chitika or Adversal are not shit. I make a few hundreds with them each month.

      • Gabriel Torres says

I don’t understand why you would list only CPC-based networks. CPC offers a lower return than CPM-based networks. Just my two cents. And yes, our website is big enough to qualify to any network. Therefore, I think you should post a disclaimer saying that your “best alternatives to Google AdSense” are for small blogs and websites, and if you have more than 1 million pageviews, there are better alternatives. Or maybe compile two lists, one for small and another for medium/big websites.

And, excuse me, a network that pays only US$ 0,01 CPM is shit for me.

        • says

Whenever I read a comment like this I know most people don’t even know how ad networks work.
There are no shit networks in this lists, and as I’ve explained before, the networks are usually for starters and people who want to make money with organic traffic and niche sites.

If you have a niche site with organic traffic, you WILL make money with Chitika. And your CPM won’t be $0.01. It will easily be $1 or more.
However, people who work with CPM networks have massive traffic (I do have some websites like that and I have worked with CPM networks before) and usually it’s not really targeted traffic.

That means, your traffic is probably not about a certain niche, and you’re driving it from other traffic sources like social media or anything else. In that case, YES, you want to use CPM networks as your traffic quality isn’t that good and you want to get paid by impressions instead of by clicks. I’ve seen the kind of Ads CPM networks like Taboola or Tribal Fusion offer, and I know most of them are just clickbaits to get more traffic to other websites. So, no quality traffic there IMHO (not saying you can’t make money from it).

However, although I disagree with your statement about Chitika (because I know you’re not using the proper traffic source with them) I kinda agree I should make a separate list for people having tons of traffic (mostly non organic) and state it in this list. I’ll work on that. Thank you.

          • Gabriel Torres says

Our website is online since 1996 and it is very niche, and I got really offended by you saying that our traffic is low quality or whatever without knowing who we are. The fact we get low CPM on Chitika has to do with the language our website uses (non-English) and not with the quality of our traffic. So, instead of offending your visitors by thinking you know everything, you should try to learn more.

In fact, I don’t even know why I am here wasting my time trying to help you. I am out of here. Take care and good luck with these lousy networks you are recommending.

            • says

Oh, so you got offended because someone said your traffic was low quality but you expect not to offend anyone while stating an ad network is shit? You must be a new troll in the internet space…

Even though you already knew the problem was the language of your website?
And just in case you didn’t read, I explained that Chitika is good for english websites only in point number 3.

Yeah, please don’t waste my time either and go talk shit to other place. :)

            • Jean says

Gabriel, not everyone is using ads on an old and established website. The site that I will be using ads on is new and does not have the traffic that my older sites have. I am very grateful for this list. It is perfect for my needs.

  25. says

  31. says

I’m totally fed up of requesting adsense and finally i decided to use alternate ads like adbrite and Chitika. Right now i am good with Chitika ads. Chitika provides decent ads like google ads.
This is really amazing post. you have listed the best alternatives of adsense. Thanks a lot for sharing this post :)

My application for adsense was rejected based upon the criterion “Insufficient Content”

However I have a total of 20 pages with 300 words or more. How to solve this issue. My site was launched only last month.

    • says

thank your for alert . i was thinking to give a try to Clicksor. tell my which service is more beneficiary for starters. Because i just start my blog 3 months back.

      • says

So far, my best Adsense alternative has been BidVertiser.

You’ll need to have 5 times more visitors (and clicks) than Adsense to start making some money with BidVertiser, but at least you’ll earn something. (Rethink where your ads should be placed on your pages so more people can see and click them.)

None of the other options worked for me.
They pay very small amounts of money. It’s simply not worth it. (But I do have a non-English website which can somehow reduce the contextuality of the ads – those written in English – thus making people not clicking them. )

I’ll be trying new options and studying how they work.

  34. says

Thank you so much for sharing this article, sometimes I feel like we get stuck on one way of doing things and forget how many options we really have available. I agree that affiliate marketing is a great alternative for online advertising.

  35. Zhivko B. says

Hello! Thanks for the great article. I want to ask can i use 2 or more of this 10 alternatives in one blog? Or just have to read the rules of all of them for this?

  39. says

Although i have google adsense im not really comfortable using it as they have so many rules to follow and one false move or something your gonna miss from adsense and your out without warning. Im gonna try infolinks and some affiliates for my website so thank you for this list.

Am rejected at buysellads many times and i have realy great sites. Tim from buysiteads.com accepted my 2sites and am really hapy with evrything there. Staff, platform and everything is great. Thats why am here to say something good for buysiteads.com. You may add also in this post as a alternative of buysellads and adsense, am sure many users of your blog will be thankful.

        • says

BuySiteAds seem to have closed their website temporarily. I have recently signed up for it. I did not get any reply even after two days. BuySellAds rejected me(and I know they are going to do so again). I applied for Adsense either, but they will activate my adsense account after 6 months(since their policy recommends Indian, Chinese, etc. websites to be owned for at least 6 months). I am worried since there are no ads on my site.

BuySiteAds latest tweet says that they are going to migrate to a faster server and I don’t know how much time it may take.

To the point now : Is there any way to get approved by adsense sooner than 6 months? Other ad networks reaaally frustrate me by showing dating ads/spam(on my old site which was known to drive away visitors because of those ads).

          Please reply.

            • says

Yes Servando, but on my old site. They rejected me (for site-traffic requirements). The new site has much low traffic than earlier since it’s the start of it. I had great content but had to shift the site since I had a .asia domain(which is bad for SEO). I got around 2000 impressions in the first month of the old site.

Content is in English. Or it is in this format : “English/Indian Name in English”.
Can I really try Adversal again?

  45. says

I used Chitika and its worst of worst, i got 10 k impressions and my earn ings was not even that can purchase some nuts. Only 0.4$, plz don’t use it…..

      • says

Majority of my traffic is from india which comes through Facebook (90%). Can you tell me the best ad programme for these conditions and what about Infolinks?

        • says

That’s why you didn’t earn that much.
India usually pays very low, even for Adsense. And if your traffic comes from Facebook and not SEO, then the CPC is much lower. Did you try infolinks or Qadabra?

            • says

              Hello Ayush.
20k impressions with how many clicks in the Ads? And which countries are these visits coming from?
I’ve explained it before. Top countries and visits from SEO pay a lot more than others.

              • says

Servando, i just do SEO on my blog for last 10 days and getting good results. I got around 3k impression on 27 may 2014 and about 95% traffic is from google, i started with infolinks 2 days ago, but the infolinks shows me only 506 ad views on 27 may. 80 % traffic from India ….. Please reply soon, its really important Servando …..

          • says

I don’t agree with you about what you say about India and AdSense. I had a click from India that cost and $ 0.80. The average value per click for India is $ 0.23. I am satisfied with Google AdSense, but I would like to put at least one more ad network. My most frequent visitors are: India 37.7%, Serbia 19.0%, United States 10.7%, South Africa 10.1%, Philippines 8.1%, Pakistan 6.3%. I’ve tried: InfoLinks and Chitika. I was not satisfied with them. For several months I have not earned even 1 dollar. Can you recommend some other ad network for my site when you know from where are the visitors?

            • says

I have had clicks from US that cost $10 :) So on average, I think those are way higher.

Try Adversal, because Chitika works best with english websites and US traffic mostly.

Hi, Have been banned from google ad sense no Idea why, and I understand there is nothing better than them, but since I have been baneed there is nothing I can do.

However or I am doing something very wrong, or I dont Know.

According to my server statistic I am receiving around 600 visits a Day in my website, I am using Chitika and Infolinks for like a year already, however I have not made one single dollar.

I am starting to really feel frustrated here, is my visits still too low?

I am not trying to live out of the website, so I am not pretending to make like 5000$ a month or anything like that, just 100$ a month at least to invest in the site would be nice.

Can anyone give me an idea of what I am doing wrong?

    The website is:

    http://www.septimocine.net

  50. says

Firstly, the list is great with good descriptions. Secondly, most of the ad networks don’t pay good money for asian traffics. and in india, Flipkart affiliate programming generates more money than Amazon, as it is a well renowned brand in country.

  51. diigo says

This really depends on your inventory, I’m having good results with veente.com, they kind of optimise using different networks (some of them are in this list), or at least that’s what they say.

But no one is even close to Adsense…

    Hi, nice article.
i’m a italian technology blogger, owner of http://www.itscribe.com
i was banned without a reason from adSense and i’m searching for alternative.

my articles are italian language written , but there are a few of 100% italian alternatives.

Adversal need a huge amount of visits : 50 000 / mounth . Maybe i can try next year …

Chitika istead give me only full english text banner … useless for my visitors.

    • says

      Hello Andrea.
Adversal doesn’t need 500k visits as far as I know.
I applied with a simple website and got approved the next day.
Did you try to apply already? Maybe they changed their TOS lately.

      • says

Hi Servando, here https://www.adversal.com/publishers.html adversal speak about 50k views/mounth … but i will try :).

for my website i have activated kontera link and i’m trying yashi advertising network. by now, yashi make 0.07$ / 1000 impressions, but this value is growing up : i started to try yashi 7 days ago, and 7 days ago the cpm was 0.01$ dollars / 1000 impressions.

        so i’m making some test.

  55. Josh Racicot says

I will be honest – I ditched ClickBank and AdSense altogether from my blog….reason being there are too many merchants who’s products and services either get banned or leave ClickBank and as for AdSense, it gives visitors to your website another route to click and leave your site. If you have affiliate programs and products already on your site, you are guaranteed to make more money with them than through AdSense, unless your are driving some serious traffic. As for InfoLinks, it just looks spammy and the keywords and ads that appear are not targeted most the time. I personally say just do away with ads and ad networks and focus on affiliate programs to monetize your blog that have one or few solid products to offer, because like I mentioned, you will make more money that way.

  56. says

Nice article, I think Adversal is best alternative to adsense. Is it possible to get adsense account for one month old site or it requires more pages.
    Thanks in advance

  57. says

    Hi Silva,
My old Adsense account disabled without any prior notice. Thanks for your very interesting alternatives of adsense. If I again apply for adsense with a new mail id, how much time it will take to approve?
In the meantime, out of your 10 alternatives, which one is better for my blog. Please visit my blog http://ofcoursesolutions.blogspot.in/ and suggest me the best one.
    Thank you.

    • says

Well, it takes a few days, but more important, they take some time until you start making money and get your address approval, which can take at least 1 month.
Honestly, the best one similar to adsense is Chitika and Adversal, unless your blog is not in English, in which case it makes everything more difficult…

  58. Jonny says

Actually, bashing Google is the ONLY alternative action you have for those banned. Appeal process is utter BS. Complete waste of your time and energy. 100% futile. Many people get banned outright simply because Google does not wish to pay YOU. It is that simple. Does that mean Google is refunding or crediting the advertisers? NO. Not at all. Google takes its share, bans YOU, and takes the advertisers’ money. Google won’t dare ban sites like Mashable.com or Plenty of Fish but Google will ban small blogs and websites simply because they are too cheap to pay you $500 to you.

Thank you so much for this. It was very informative. I’m new to blogging and am currently struggling with how to maximize revenue for my site. I’ve been seeing a lot of popular blogs with Remarkit ads. I’m not sure what Remarkit is, but I can’t find them in my search engine. Is this a better alternative, or….?? Please help.

    • says

Haven’t heard of Remarkit, but did you check their website?
It sounds like a remarketing too, but I could be wrong. The best thing for you here is to look for reviews about it.

Could you please advise me what kind of ads is suggested?

  65. says

I was so disappointed from google adsense because they rejected my approval request saying that adsense crawler is unable to review the website…i didn’t get any help from the adsense forum regarding that..so i was searching for other alternatives and found this amazing article..thanks for sharing this..i will go for chitika and infolinks..

  66. says

I work with chitika and adhitz and they work good for me. I think chitika is the best adsense alternative and their staff is also very professional.

  67. says

Hi! I already have chitika and kryptoads on my blog. It’s good to know that chitika is a good site. Hope to be successful on this activity. I have an adsense account but that is a hosted account I created through youtube. When I created this blog, I tried to apply for a new account using new email. But I was notified that I already have an adsense account. Maybe i have to wait for six months before I apply it to become a regular account.

    Have a great day!

    • Praha says

      Hey Sharon,

If you already have a hosted account, there is no need to make another Adsense account. All you have to do is upgrade your account from hosted account to a regular one.

To do so, first login to your Adsense account. On the top, it should say Hosted account in red. Click the little question mark and there should be a link to upgrade.

Provide them a good blog URL, with quality content, and Adsense should accept you.

I have experience with chitka which was not bad. Infolink also pay well if you have education related blog. Even with infolink i earn $300+ monthly.

Sadly in most of the cases Adsense is not allowed by TOR to be implemented with these options. However, could be good alternatives. Thanks for pointing out them.

Pocketcents are Fraudsters if some of the sites advice you to. My payment has not been made for 2 months and when I login the account statement says I have been paid. I have sent several emails for the past 2 months and have not received a reply. I hope someone take these internet fraudsters to task and put them behind bars.

Every dollar is important to the webmaster and people such as pocketcents thrive on the hard work we do.

    • says

You can try other services as well.
Honestly, if you’re using them, you need to follow their guidelines. They aren’t as aggressive as many people think, but always read the TOS before doing anything with Google.

Thanks for this adsense alternatives though, i really appreciate it.

    Hello,

i am also banned on google. But use some good alternatives like bidvertiser, B4PSAds, chitika i think good making some money but i have 4 websites and on each more than 1000 visitors everyday. Your traffic is very important.

  74. Jeff Gray says

I am currently running adsense and I do things by the book. I also have affiliate links for related products but want to know if the revenue would be better using something else. I may try chikita thanks to your list.

    • says

      Hello Jeff.
      That’s nice to hear.
Honestly, if you’re using Adsense and affiliate programs, you’re already set. Try new things isn’t bad, but that combo is great for money generation.

I have tried every single thing on here, other than Chitika. I’ve always been wary of it, as it has never seemed like a top ad network, but I am definitely feeling tempted to try it out. Thank you for the list.

    hi…Great post…
i think chitika is good for new pubshers.just because its minimum payout 10$.i m using it for my wesite.
I thinks it is best for me…

  78. says

Hi, and thanks for the list!

I think it speaks volumes that (at the time of writing this), you use Google AdSense ;) So from this, I take it that above all, you recommend AdSense?

    Thanks

  79. www.mbloggertutorial.com says

In my opinion, Chitika is the best website to earn through affiliate programs and Infolinks are the best Google Adsense Alternative in term of CPC. But they cant defeat Google Adsense, GA is strong and high CPC.

  80. rajeev sagar says

You missed to mention adhungama.com, they seem to be one of the most reliable ‘premium’ online advertising networks available for newbie bloggers and forums. Though most networks have stringent conditions for eligibility, adhungama just wants the publisher to have a clean site with quality content (at least thats been my experience with my clients who have moved to adhungama ).They have net-30 and minimum cash payout is jus 25 USD.

      • rajeev sagar says

It works for everyone…they even accept blogspot blogs (3 of my friends got in)..the only limitation is that they don’t accept any adult content..but i guess thats good and helps to maintain quality..

  81. says

I had that adsense account disabled issue a few years ago for an unknown reason, but I sent them an email and got the account re-enabled, much to our surprise. Thanks for these alternatives though. Affiliate is very good, but takes some work to get good at so many people don’t want to do it.

    • says

      Hello.
Chitika provides you with the forms in the settings section.
Download them, fill them and submit them in your account. That should be enough to get your approved in a few days.

  82. says

Chitika sucks bc I got 650 pvs and 18 click and only generated $0.03! Same with Infolinks, they dont seem to pay much for a click. The job board (i have my name linked to) get about $20 a day w adsense but when I try IL or Chit I make max .20-1.00!

I hate Google but the pay the best imo. That’s why I found my way here …to find better but see all the one I have already tried and imo they suck!

      • says

Adsense is the only way to make good money. I’m using Adsense for my 3 websites and i earn $150-$200 a day. but before adsense i had try some bulshit kinda alternates like smowtions, Infolink, adfly, clicksor, etc. they all sucks, because they are generating only 5 to 6 dollars a day so far.
That is why i only recommend Adsense.

  83. Deepak Rawat says

Thanks Servando for sharing this informative article with us… Please tell me that what do you think about media.net ???!!! Is media.net is the best google adsense alternative…. ???

    • says

Hello Deepak. I haven’t really used media.net to give my opinion. It looks more like an Ad network and it should be worth a try. I’ll update it after trying it, but it won’t be that soon.

  84. says

Thank you so much for the amazing info. I joined a couple and have already been approved on my site. I wish I could have gotten adsense back, but I am guessing that will never happen even if my YT subscriber climbs. As for not these sites will have to do on my blog. Thank you again. Might have to come back to ask some questions.

  85. says

Nice list of alternatives. As everyone said there is no good alternative to adsense at this moment. Some of the possible alternatives would be media.net, chitika, adversal, infolinks, edomz.

    hello,
hi please give me some important suggestions for me, i want to start make money with websites through google and other adsense alternatives, can you please which website i will start (or) give me topics for high revenue

    thank you….

  88. says

Great List of lesser known google adsense alternatives. However I do agree that adsense still has the highest RPM/CPM and High CPC. For instance, my site recently went from 0.15 RPM to 1.5 RPM in 10 days.

I’m currentl using clicksor and adroll, they’re highly recommend.

  89. says

Thank you for the wonderful monetization options. Often times, it simply takes starting with one, but may not need to go too crazy since certain ad formats can distract from your page and annoy the visitor. This may potentially cause a lack of return to one’s page, so keep it simple, fun, attractive and engaging!

    • says

      Definitely true.
In fact, I like to keep the ads on my sidebar as clean as possible and with a maximum of 3.
Of course, my main source is affiliate marketing, so I don’t take a lot of value from ads from Adsense in this blog.

  90. shafiq says

i think the adsense is more better dn others…..

    Hi,
i’m the owner of assiemelosappiamo.blogspot.it , a technology blog. Google adsense banned me without a real reason, so i’m searching for alternatives.

can i try to use at the same time http://www.simply.com/ for banner, Kontera and Chitika at the same time?

i have 100 visits by day. How i can hope to earn?

    Thanks,

    bye.

    • says

      Hello.
I haven’t used simply, but as long as they don’t look like a copy of Chitika or Kontera it should be fine. Even Adsense allows you to use chitika at the same time.
About the visits, it really depends on the advertisers (the ads that appear on your page) and your traffic.
It’s totally relative and difficult to know, and it also includes the CPC and CTR to (at least) make an average of your earnings.

  92. says

I think Infolinks is the best alternative of google adsense. I Specially like the conclusion that ” Even if your Google Adsense account was banned, this is not the end of the world. In fact, it’s only the beginning ” Thanks for the Info.

  93. says

Hi Servando! I was looking for something like this. But I really agree with some of comments in here. Adsense is really the best. Or better, for me it was… I also loose my adsense account they said I made click fraud, which it was false, of course . But they don’t care about what we say….

    • says

I know. However, I think Amazon associates and affiliate marketing can get even better than Adsense when done well. it’s just that it’s not as easy as using Adsense, Chitika or others.

According to me Buy Sell Ads and Info links are the Best and if we also have AdSense then using all 3 of then will bring maximum money as those 3 are best Ad networks :)

  101. says

Great list of alternatives. It is a shame that Adbrite closed down, they were a great ad network to work with. I hope this doesn’t mean the end of any other ad networks.

  102. says

I’m not sure why but I don’t trust websites which display ads other than Adsense. Only the highest quality and honest websites display Adsense. Adsense is the best!

    • says

Actually as the internet grows and google becomes bigger, they too also only want the bigger fish. You will see many more advertising networks popping up. This does NOT in any way reflect on the quality or trustworthiness of a website. I am Adwords certified and I use google on some sites and other networks on others. One tool is never good for every job.

  103. says

Google Adsense: Making money with Google Adsense is very simple. You simply place contextual ads on your websites using the code that your cut and paste from Google Adsense. The cool part about contextual ads is that you do not have to sell anything to get paid you get paid when vistors click on your ads. For example I started a web site on school uniforms which allows users to search for the best deals on school uniforms. Click here to buy books on Google Adsense

    • says

So you were using the link units or search units, I guess? Otherwise it’s normally a bad think to try to make people click your ads by saying: buy here or search here.

  104. Prasanna says

    Hi,

Its an more informative article, truly it very useful for me.

I am an beginner in the blogging field. Initially i applied for ad-sense, after several reviews they disapproved my application. They have listed a several points needs to make the website improved. And it was said like I can apply again.

Can you guide like, what Google will look for approving ad-sense? Like Google the above mentioned sites too have these kind of review system and disapproval policies?

    Thanks in advance.

    • says

      Hello.
Did you try checking Google Adsense TOS?
Which URL are you submitting for your application? You should have at least a few quality posts (5 or more) and not submit your application as soon as you create it.

  105. Lesberatti says

Unfortunately adsense is still the highest paying.
I have chitika and the others and barely make a pennuy unless I cloick an ad. adsenmse seemed to psy on ecpm where others don’t. It top bad adsense is so unforgiving,

  106. says

    Hi,

I also like to work with other adsense programs rather than Google. I am currently working with media.net, and it si very good source to make money from it. Is there anyone who is earning with it..

I have some query regrading that like getting confusion when it generates too less amount of money for same number of page impressions for 2 days….?

    • John says

I use Media.net and they are okay. I don’t like that the ads really are just links made to look like links on my site. I was paid so much more for similar traffic and fewer ad units per page on adsense, but banned way back without reason.

Media.net is 100% dependable. Maybe not great at what you get paid, but they are solid.

  107. says

so many people earning from GA and some get banned by GA by using invalid click or by some other mistake. Thanks servando , to share here a Other Alternative for GA.
I think Info link is best options for GA and its Payout also $50 which is half of GA which I have used.

    • says

Yeah, even though I guess many people really ask or try invalid clicks and thus they get banned. We will never know for sure.
Info links is good, but a little bit annoying for the readers sometimes. I prefer chitika.

Thanks for your informative post on alternatives for adsense…I have been having hard time getting approved on adsense. and this is just what I need Right now…Thanks once again for sharing

Once I was a publisher for adbrite and my first checks were from adbrite itself it served as one of the best adsense alternative. i am also using amazon affiliate and info-links I should try the other networks soon.

    Thanks for the information Servando…

  110. says

Thanks for sharing this wonderful article. Adsense rejected my site recently and this really helped me in looking for an alternative to use on my site.

  111. says

Having a list of alternatives for Adsense is an add for those finding it hard to earn with the programme . Thanks for a great post but i wouldnt advice alternatives for those already earning enough with adsense.

Thank you so much for the info. I will try infolinks and actually just registered. Have to wait for two days for my account to be activated based on the email I received. Hope it works well for me. Been applying for ad sense and denied each time, lol. Is it possible to apply on all of the given choices here and apply them on the site if approved? Thanks.

  113. says

Wow… Nice Post bro. I only Use adsense And Adclickmedia on my blog and they just give me penny. I’ll Try out some of these ones listed here. Thanks

    Hello Servando,

Thanks for this brilliant review. I have to tell you, how helpful your review is as i am getting very low CTR from adsense. Now i can apply one by one the above mentioned by you and will check if they are better alternatives for adsense. As you have mentioned also that we can run most of these services with adsense.

    You Rock :)

  115. Arslan says

Great post man. I was searching for this as my request was rejected by Google. I don’t know why they did this. I followed their guidelines and all TO’s. I think now i should give alternatives a try. Thanks for sharing.

  116. says

    Hello Servando,

This is the best review so far regarding adsense alternative that i came across. I was disappointed as Adbrite is longer in the business and i had difficulty deciding which services is better for me. My website generated more than 10,000 impressions per month since 4 months and is running with any ads. Now i had applied for few above mentioned by you. I personally find BSA, test link ads, Chitika and Amazon affiliates good for my site.

    Thanks a lot

    • says

      No problem :)
Well, if you’re generating at least 10K visitors per month, then you could find a CPM alternative better, instead of CPC.
Make sure to try them all and make split testing to increase your earnings.

  117. says

Till now I haven’t found a great site that is as good as google adsense. I tried bidvertiser, infolinks. both’s revenue is too little. My bidvertiser ads get low clicks. because the ads on are not contextual with the keyword search.

    Hi Servando,
Very nice to meet you and it was nice to see your helpful post on BizSugar. I hope you will be returning often and become a regular member of the community. Very cool!

  119. says

I just published an article on this same subject because I got an email saying that AdBrite will be out of business as of Feb 1. I’ve heard of the others and definitely like the idea that there are other ways to make money as a blogger who’s made Google mad for some reason that they won’t disclose. Awesome and Thanks!

  120. Erik Contreras says

      Hello.
CJ is one of the most affiliate programs/network out there. Most people trying to monetize via affiliate marketing go out and check for products in Commision Junction and Clickbank. Why do you ask?

  122. says

    Great post Servando!

Personally I’m not much for Google Adsense, but it does perform well in particular niche’s despite that remarketing thing.

Infolinks is one that I’m liking right now – I did try Chikita a while back on a gaming site that I run and the results were horrible.

They had almost no inventory of gaming related ads so they just fill in the space with an ad to a dynamically created page on a domain they own that has no content at all. It was grim.

I guess it goes to show that it largely depends on the niche you operate in as to which solution will be the best.

    • says

      Hello Adam.
I completely agree with you. It all depends on your niche. Before selecting your niche it’s vital to do a Market Analysis and see what kind of affiliates and ads are available so that you don´t have to quit later and move to another niche.
Additionally, having 2-3 alternatives for each site is better, not to put all your eggs in one basket.

By the way, I´ve been following your blog lately, and it´s nice to have you here man. Happy new year!

  123. Rajashri says

These are some great alternatives, I think affiliate marketing is one of the best alternatives. I hope somebody as big as Adsense comes up later.

  124. sam says

Nice post. My favourite is chitika, as they have good earnings to my web traffic.
However i did try clicksor and it is not that good in terms on earnings.

    Enjoyed reading this :)

    Hi Silva,
Losing Adsense is one of the biggest bad-luck in your whole internet career. But looking from real good alternatives to Google Adsense is another big pain for the web-master to digg a sufficient advertising network for his blog to make it some money.

Alternatives are good , but at the end of the day no one pays like Google Adsense. And many of these alternatives look pretty spammy when you implement them on your website and you might get many unrelated ads on your website.

    Regards
    Sara Fargoons

    • says

Hello Sara. thanks for your insights on this matter, but i tend to disagree. Not all of them look spammy, specially if you’re looking forward to affiliate Marketing. As long as you provide good content instead of big landing pages with lots of sales pitches.

  126. ravi says

Google AdSense is undoubtedly the best advertising network out there which follows a pay-per-click advertising model. When AdSense was launched they were accepting almost all websites that comply with their Program Policies.

Please tell me some affiliate programs for my website http://guddoz.com

    • says

I guess it really narrows down to your niche. Having a quick look to your website, I don’t think I’d be the best person to get recommendations. How’s clicksor been doing for you?

  129. Anthony says

Thanks for offering some alternatives to adsense, I have just had my adsense account disabled for no obvious reason just as I started to make a profit. Google has also removed my website from their
pages. People spend hours researching content and writing articles only for google to wipe them of the internet, they think they are bigger than the people yet without people building websites and blogs they have nothing.

  130. says

Thanks for the post. I always wonder what will be the best alternatives besides GA, there are many options but most of them are scams. But you have light up my way by giving these 10 great lists. But i need to work on my traffic first, because at the end its all depends on the visits. Pardon me for being Newbie. Please share another great post for me to learn.

From all the ones I put, none of them are scams, so don’t worry. They’re high quality services. Make sure to subscribe to my list so you can receive all of the updates :) Thank you.

More and more people gets banned by Google and thus, many of us are looking for an alternative. Thanks for the suggestions, they were really useful! I think I will go with a mix of chitika and affiliate marketing!

Google Adsense is a joke! My two information sites combined was having nearly 50k hits a month, I had a nice income from adsense and then one day out of the blue, after 2 years they just said my site was not good enough!!! WTF is this a joke! I wrote to google explaning are they having a laugh? with a reply saying it was all about my content!!! LOL.. I look around on the web today and see so many micky mouse websites with NO PAGE RANK, NO STYLE, NO CONTENT, NO TRAFFIC and they run adsense!!

Serious Guys.. Leave adsense alone.. Go for the smaller companies, these people may not have the same functions as adsense, but at least their safe..

I make tidy income from #6 and I am going to stick with them!!

    • says

      Hello Lee,
I’ve seen very mixed comments about Adsense. For some people is great, for others is not.
My recommendation: always try to multiply your income streams. You never know when is one shutting down. Better be prepared.
Somehow, it seems that once Google shuts you down at adsense, there’s no way to come back, something that is very difficult to understand.

  133. says

    Great post!

    I’m mostly involved with #2 and #6…
I was about to sign up for Google Adsense until they started
disabling webmaster accounts. I decided to wait until things cool off
to see what all the fuss was about. I may still sign up in the future though.

    Thanks for the info!

    • says

Thank you. Most of us, bloggers, try to create different income streams, so that we not only rely on Google. It’s good to know you have already achieved number 2. Let me know if you go to Adsense later and how it does for you.

  134. Santosh Mishra says

These ad networks are great but I don’t think that all these comparable to Adsense. Google Adsense is different than others.

    • says

I’m with you. Besides Chitika, most of them are different categories, but the reason to write this article was to find other alternatives (not limited to PPC). When you’re building your business online, you want to make sure you try everything and keep the best for you and your audience.

      • says

I have tried companies like Adsense and Adbrite and they did not do nearly as good as Altitude Digital Partners. The CPM rate that Altitude Digital pays is a lot higher then the alternatives and there is an actual person you can talk to. Check them out at altitudedigitalpartners.com
