5 Great TED Talks for Bloggers

A great way to get some inspiration and start working is by getting ideas and learning from others.

Reading tons of blogs, articles and case studies. However, Youtube and other media platforms can be addicting and very time consuming for us (bloggers) who are in front of the computer a good part of our lives.

So, let me enhance your distraction levels by showing you 5 great TED talks for Bloggers. Is there a better way to mix a relaxing thing to do (watching videos) and learn something useful at the same time?

Make sure you get some pop corns or at least 20 minutes for each video. I promise they won’t disappoint you. And here’s why:

Most of use (bloggers) are trying to achieve 3 things:

  1. Try and learn things in small periods of time
  2. Drive Traffic to our blogs by writing great, legendary content
  3. Generate leads and sales with good Marketing techniques

And those 5 videos will show you why and how. Let’s start!

1. Matt Cutts: Try something new for 30 days

Matt Cutts is well known in the SEO sphere. He’s the guy behind the answers and question from the Google Webmaster Tools Channel. The reason I chose this video is because most bloggers struggle to learn and correctly take action in many things. Learning can be addictive too, but if you’re not taking action then it becomes irrelevant.

Seth Godin: How to get your ideas to spread

Seth Godin is a well known American Entrepreneur, Author and Speaker. He also has a blog and is recognized in the Marketing era. Seth explains how to get any idea to spread, by focusing on convincing the early adopters and innovators, like Apple does. It’s a great talk. I won’t explain more. Just watch the video.

Simon Sinek: How great liders inspire action

In this TED talk, Simon explains how great companies inspire customers to buy their products by using a different approach. Instead of showing the what and how, they do it by explaining whyhow and what. I won’t you tell more, here’s the video:

Seth Godin: The tribes we lead

Mentioned above, Seth Godin is an entrepreneur and blogger. In this video he talks about the tribes we lead. He explains the internet has changed the way we do Marketing and has revived something from the past: Tribes. And he urges everyone to lead some people to make a great change. Because that’s how marketing works nowadays. And I agree.

Dan Pink: The puzzle of motivation

Dan takes a very interesting approach based on facts and experiments from different recognized persons. In this TED talk, Dan explains why incentives aren’t necessary on every case to get people to do something faster or better. In fact, sometimes it’s worse than without incentives. Here’s why:
