There’s no doubt Guest Posting is one of the best ways to get traffic, authority and backlinks to your website. Submitting a Guest Post isn’t as easy as sending a 300 words document to Copyblogger and see it 5 minutes later published on their blog. Guest Posting is something you really need to work because unless you’re going for a relatively small blog, you really want to make sure the audience loves your post.
I’ve been thinking about submitting a Guest Post since January, and it didn’t happen until November (better late than never).
But it had to be a great post.
A post that people would like, comment, share and promote.
I didn’t want it to pass as any other guest post with a pair of comments and a hand of retweets. So, while I was looking for a great place to start, I came across the Famous bloggers Blog. I had read it before and I knew it had great content within. So after reading their about page I tried to follow all their guidelines to submit my post and avoid any modifications after that.
I submitted my article on october 25, and I was happy to see that it passed the proof-read test the next day. However, there was a big list of guest bloggers before me (around 20) that had to be published before, or at least that’s what I thought. After 30 days, I only saw 2 of the guest posts make it to the public, so I started thinking about removing my article and submitting to another blog, because if my calculations were not wrong, it would take me the whole year to get it published.
Lucky me, I didn’t remove it and it was published on November 29, right after those 2 guest posts and before 15 or more guest posts that were available before mine.
Why? I don’t know, but I’m happy with it.
You can read it now by clicking the following URL: How I turned my Favorite hobby into a profitable blog and arrived in Hollywood.
Catchy title huh?
Well, it turns out that it really fits with my story. That’s the story of how I turned my biggest passion into a blog on 2006 and then make it grew to thousands of visitors per day before landing a job on 2011.
I really don’t want to ruin the story, so head to the Famous Blog and read the article there if you will.
I promise it won’t disappoint you. 🙂
Hello Hesham, I know you’re a busy (and famous) blogger and you’ve created a really nice blog there.
I can really see the commitment and engagement of your readers because the article has almost 20 comments now and it’s been retweeted, liked, +1ed or pinned almost 150 times at this moment.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to land a guest post on your blog. I promise I’ll always be there reading, commenting and sharing the great content you publish there. If there’s anything I can help you with, just let me know and I’ll totally support you.
I’m preparing my next guest post and I think your readers will love it.
