OK, so today here’s a quick tip on how to make money with Google Adsense, without having an approved Adsense account.
There are 2 reasons why you might be interested in this. One is bad, and the other is worse.
- Your Adsense account application has been rejected because the URL you’re submitting isn’t good enough for Google (this can be easily solved).
- You can’t use Adsense anymore because your account has been banned. In which case, make sure you check the top 10 best Adsense alternatives from this post.
Whatever you’re struggling with, Google Adsense is probably the best and more recognized Ad network in the world. Of course, there are great alternatives and some of them might work better for you than it works for others, but in general, having an Adsense account approved feels good in case you need it.
Here at Stream SEO, I’ve been trying CPC and CPM ad networks without any big success. This is probably because I prefer to work with affiliates and CPA commissions instead, and that’s fine for me.
But I have some other blogs that wouldn’t convert with CPA programs and Adsense is probably the best option still. Adsense is especially good for niche or micro-niche sites.
Anyway, the thing here is that you don’t have an Adsense account and you still want to make money with Adsense banners. Let me show you how.
If your Adsense application has been rejected
There are some ways to solve this without too many problems or hard work at all.
If you already have a website that you’re using with your submission, make sure it follows all the Adsense rules and terms of service. If something was wrong, or the page was about forbidden niches, then you won’t be able to change it all. So it’s better if you start a new website and fill it with some pages of content and submit the form again.
If you don’t want to pay EXTRA money for a domain or anything else to create the blog, you can always use Blogger.
Actually, I recommend using Blogger because there you can quickly create a website and craft a few posts to get your Adsense account approved. Blogger/Blogspot is a division of Google’s services, so I’ve found it to be fast and simple. The first time I wanted my Adsense account, I only wrote 3 short posts on a blogger’s blog and it got approved without any problems. Then you can use that account on any website you want as long as it follows their TOS.
You can also use Hubpages. Write a few articles and you should be on the other site. Keep in mind, however, that having your account approved from Blogger is definitely faster.
If your Adsense account has been banned
Now here comes the good part. Once your Adsense account has been banned, it’s difficult to get it back. I’ve heard a lot of horrible stories of people yelling about how they didn’t break any of the rules and still got banned. I won’t discuss that today.
Also, you can create another account with a different email, IP, and even name holder, but it’s always risky. I’m not discussing that either.
What I want to tell you, is that you can still earn money from Google Adsense banners using another account. It doesn’t need to be yours, but you need to share it with other users, and that’s where Squidoo comes in.
Squidoo (now bought by Hubpages) is a great Website created by a team of entrepreneurs and Marketers, including Seth Godin.
The idea behind Squidoo is to create great Lenses (that’s how they call the posts) and leverage great content so that you can rank it and get paid for it.
There are a lot of sites that work like this, and it’s a no brainer that you need an Adsense account to participate and earn money because generally, all those sites work on a shared visibility program that puts their ads on your posts a certain amount of time (and visits) and then it shows your banners another part of the time. Thus, you require an account.
However, with Squidoo, you don’t need an Adsense account to participate. They have a pretty interesting program that allows you (somehow) to use their banners all the time and still earn money from it.
Because all these content directories and farms have been damaged by Google’s latest updates (panda and penguin) because of the lack of good content, Squidoo actually has a program where you need to write a good article to rank and get paid.
A good article gets paid based on many factors, including:
- Length and Topic
- SEO
- Comments
- Social activity
- Traffic and more
So, if you create good articles, they’ll get ranked and you’ll receive a percentage of their earnings. Here’s how a typical Squidoo post looks like:

They pay by 3 tier commissions, and they have different payments depending on how well your rankings are. Click here to read their full TOS and how it works.
Also, they allow you to make money from other ads including contextual links and Amazon. And with Amazon, you can also use their affiliate account and make 8% of each sale instead of the 4% you usually receive (unless you’re selling a lot already).
So, go ahead and give it a try. I’ve been using Squidoo as a way to build quality backlinks too, and the pages get ranked quickly on Google and usually have a good Page Rank after some months.
Just don’t forget you really need to create good content. Don’t copy or steal content from any other site to put it on Squidoo (or anywhere else, actually). You can only write Squidoo posts in English at this moment (April 2003), but I don’t know if later they’ll be moving to other languages.
Let me know if you know anything about it. Talk to you later!
Thanks for the information. Really there are good alternatives for Google Adsense. I have tried content.ad service which is extremely good.

I liked one more article about this topic. I request to read the “Google Adsense earnings per visitor” article once and put your comments.

You need to post more content to your blog and apply again after a few weeks.
Thanks Servando Silva for this great post. You have written a great post. I am a new blogger. I am just looking for this kind of solution. Keep writing this kind of article. Thanks again..
Gad you liked it, Luke.
My question is how does a link from squidoo or hubpages affect your sites ranking in google ? did you see a difference in traffic over time ?
It does. But you need them to be high PR to make them work. And squidoo was sold to hubpages a few months ago.
I have hosted adsense account. , squidoo stops registration. , what can I do with this account
Squidoo has been merged with Hubpages. Have you tried there?
Or you can have your own wordpress blog 🙂
This is really a good article. I tried Hubpages and squidoo before. Both sites are good and authorized. Both sites need good and long quality article too get rank or traffic. When you get traffic, you will have more chance to get more money.
So the BIG thing is write quality article, It doesn’t matter where it published but it will bring you some buks.
Thanks for sharing.
Exactly. It could make you a few extra per month 🙂
I appreciate your sharing of this great piece of knowledge. Im trying to decide between hubpages and sqidoo. What is your suggestion?Give some view about hubpage too…
Thank you
They pay on a different model. Squidoo pays by quality and inner rankings. Hubpages pays when you get traffic.
hi there i wana ask how to get hubpages because i also wana make cash with my website
For Hubpages, you need your own Adsense account. Do you have one?
Really thanks for the information.I am getting 500+ visitors per day from google but not able get a single buck .I have tried all most all adsense alternatives but everything is bad. Please if you have any other websites please help me to get my adsense approval .I have a hosted account.Just place my adsense code for few hours in any adsense eligible blog.I will be thankful to you through out my blogging journey.I have invested a lot ( Using thesis theme it’s a big investment for me). I will be happy if you give reply to me.
Thanks for the useful tips on adsense.
It’s very useful for bloggers who just started using Google Adsense.
Butnow i think they have relaxed the norms as now they unban accounts after a good appeal. They need validreason why not to ban your account once violated the policies. Once you given the cirrect information they reactivate your account. So now Adsense is not that tough to make money.
Nice post Servando Silva. Everyone should give this a try.
I truly love your website.. Great colors & theme.
Did you create this site yourself? Please reply back as I’m attempting to create my own site
and would love to know where you got this from or what the theme is named.
Thank you!
Hello Paulina.
Thank you so much. In fact I just updated it to a minimalistic website, but with all the features and design as before. i didn’t create it by myself. I use the Genesis Framework. You can read about it and it’s themes portfolio here: https://stream-seo.com/genesis-wordpress-framework-review/
Awesome advise, thanks you for your wisdom. Yes Squido does pay but it takes a determined effort to get your articles to rank and for the community to engage. I stick to what I know best and that’s helping online marketers build their downlines using targeted email marketing campaigns and leads at a fractional cost compared to any other options outthere.
I find these tips very useful. I have always failed to get into Adsense because the whole system seems a bit unfair, not sure if that is just my thoughts? Anyway, this will be very useful to some people but I would rather stick with something else.
Do you mind if I quote a few of your articles as long as I provide
credit and sources back to your weblog? My website is in the exact same niche as yours and my users would definitely benefit from some
of the information you provide here. Please let me know if this alright with you.
Appreciate it!
Yeah, why not?
As long as they’re relevant to my site, you can link to me. What’s the URL of your blog?
Wow awesome post! I actually got a Hosted account from Google adsense via Webanswers.com My question is, I want to use the account for my own site, but I’m a little wary of googles approval standard as I have only two posts. I want to lift the Hosted account flag off my account. I’m apprehensive to add my site even though I will add more posts, I’m not sure if Google Adsense will lock me out. Just not sure if my hosted account my get locked out of using other websites or the one i include.
Hello Chris.
I’ve never used a hosted account, but because google usually hesitates when approving sites with less than 5 posts, I’d think it twice (unless you use blogger).
Consider adding at least 5-10 posts before using it. I’m sorry I can’t help you with the hosted account issue.
I actually have a blogger, I am planning on adding I’d say 20 more entries. Last question, is my websites age relevant? I hear people say that Google Adsense will wait for 6 months worth of content before approving. Does number of quality posts outrank age of site? Thankx again.
I think they can be more or less strict depending on the country and policies.
As far as I remember, my website had 2 or 3 months old and maybe 10 posts, and then I applied for an Adsense account and somehow used my blogger’s URL instead which had no posts but had been created 6 months ago. They accepted that, but after I sent an email to change the URL and my email and had no problem at all.
Servando, thanks for sharing an interesting experience once, I do not have a Google adsense yet, might try next time. I had previously been writing on Triond, but now not actively writing . Triond still kind to give me passive income by approximately $10 per month. My next goal is to try to write again, but not in Triond, other sites that might give me more earnings than Triond. Squidoo will probably be my next consideration.
Hello man.
You could also count with infobarrel and hubpages in the future, if that’s what you’re looking for.
Did you Adsense account got neglected?
i want to know that what amount of Share the Squidoo takes away from our earnings as adsense takes 32% of our earnings. ! as im planning to go there and work !
Hello Harshi.
As mentioned above, the way you use Squidoo doesn’t need an Adsense account. So instead of just giving you a share percentage, you need to write good articles and they pay you based on a tier (1,2,3) base.
The better your articles are ranked, shared, commented and updated, the more money they pay per month.
Some articles just earn a few cents a month but others earn hundreds.
I make money from other sites already but I think that the adSense revenue sharing program are the worst way to make money writing
thanks for sharing this awesome post have a cool day ahead 🙂
Hello Anis.
Thanks for your comment.
Do you mean by using it with other programs like Hubpages or Squidoo? Or just by using it yourself?
Nope I mean I make money without using any adsense revenue sharing program
I get paid per article something like 25$ per article
it’s cool to make money from your blog using adsense instead 😉
Nice information Servando,
There are many people who got there adsense accounts banned and finding ways to make money and this tip should be given a try. If we can write a quality article for hubpages then we can earn few bucks even without our Adsense account.
It’s Squidoo, because with Hubpages you need an Adsense account to participate on the Ad program. So Hubpages isn’t an option for banned accounts for now.
Great guide 🙂 Though I prefer selling affiliate products and building a list 🙂 More profitable in most niches .
Yeah. Definitely better for many users, but sometimes affiliates are not for everyone, and CPC alternatives can be good too.
My Google Adsense account was doing well before Google decided that I have many invalid clicks and banned my account for good. It’s just sad that I won’t be able to try the adsense tests new link units with arrows and the tips that you have here that will help boost my earnings.
That’s one sad thing I don’t like about Google. You need to check really hard to avoid fake clicks but not only from your side.
