Since 2012 Stream SEO has been accepting posts from people who want to get an audience or simply want to contribute with something interesting to the community and get a couple of mentions to their page.
However, I don’t think I’ve accepted more than 30 external posts, mostly because the quality of them is very bad.
And I’m not talking about the grammar or the length of the article, but the headline and the topic itself are boring and don’t really provide any value to my readers.
Some pitches I receive don’t even have anything to do with the industry I blog for.
Every week I get a few proposals and it’s clear how people don’t even read the guidelines before pitching me with a post because they pretty much want to either build backlinks or stuff an article with affiliate links and make money from that.
8 out of 10 posts I received in the last week have titles like “8 generic mistakes about SEO” and “5 tools you can’t miss when using WordPress“.
If your pitch is a post about tips or a list forget about being published here.
That’s exactly the type of generic articles I don’t want in my blog and they can be published everywhere else because the value is close to 0.
Instead, you’ve seen I can take 2-4 months just to publish an article but the article will be a complete guide on how to do something or a real-life case study instead of just writing 8 boring things about any theme with information that I didn’t get myself and that everybody talks about.
That’s why some of my articles have 100 or even 300+ comments instead of just being buried with 0 comments.
OK, If you have read so far and the words above didn’t scare you I’m willing to work with you and accept a post proposal.
Also, if you work for a company related to internet marketing tools, traffic sources, ad networks or anything similar feel free to fill this form as well and we’ll see if we can test and review it.
I’m looking forward to working with you!
