WARNING. Stream SEO rejects 9 out of 10 posts since 2016 for pretty obvious reasons…
For the last 5 years Stream SEO has been accepting posts from people who want to get an audience or simply want to contribute with something interesting to the community and get a couple backlinks to brand their page.
However I don’t think I’ve accepted more than 20 external posts, mostly because the quality of them is very bad.
And I’m not talking about the grammar or the length of the article, but the headline and the topic itself are boring and don’t really provide any value to my readers.
Some pitches I receive don’t even have anything to do with the industry I blog for.
Every week I get a few dozen proposals and it clear how people don’t even read the guidelines before pitching me with a post because they pretty much want to either build backlinks or stuff an article with affiliate links and make money from that.
8 out of 10 posts I received in the last week have titles like “8 generic mistakes about SEO” and “5 tools you can’t miss when using WordPress“.
That’s exactly the type of generic articles I don’t want in my blog and they can be published everywhere else because the value is close to 0.
Instead, you’ve seen I can take 2-4 months just to publish an article but the article will be a complete guide on how to do something or a real life case study instead of just writing 8 boring things about any theme with information that I didn’t get myself and that everybody talks about.
I know my blogging is not consistent because I have a lot of things to do and I mostly blog for fun, but I prefer to keep quality over quantity.
That’s why some of my articles have 500 or even 1,000+ comments instead of just being buried with 0 comments.
OK, If you have read so far and the words above didn’t scare you I’m willing to work with you and accept a post proposal.
Here’s the deal. You can contact me on Twitter or just answer any of my emails if you’re subscribed to my list and we’ll work it from there 🙂
Some posts I have published here have over 100 comments and send daily traffic to the writers.
I’m looking forward to work with you!
